Random from Featured

Since Star Wars has comics released by Marvel, it only makes sense to include any women from Star Wars. I've already seen other Marvel groups do so.

So, now there is a Star Wars folder just for them. Any and all women from Star Wars belong there. Even if it's depicting a couple from Star Wars, put it in the "Star Wars" folder and NOT the "Couples" folder.

Though, if you have an art piece that has other Marvel women AND Star Wars women in it, then that would go in the "Groups of Ladies" folder.

Submission Rules

nudes, crotch shots, boob shots, distracting cleavage, or absurd boobs/butt poses.

Art that puts too much emphasis on butts and/or breasts will be rejected, and because of this rule most pinup art will be rejected. No poses that are too suggestive, which includes any pose you'd expect to find in playboy. Cleavage may be permitted as long as the pose isn't an objectifying one, and there is no unnecessary emphasis.

For more detail as to what constitutes sexualizing and objectification in art, please refer to this wonderful essay.

Art that glorifies violence against women will be rejected.
Art of bound and gagged woman will be rejected.
Art of dead or dying women will be rejected.
Art of women knocked unconscious will be rejected.

Men can be in the art. Couples as long as a man doesn't overshadow the woman in the piece. If it's a group shot the main focus must be on one or more women, if it's only one woman she must take up a majority of the piece.

No OCs.

Gallery submissions must meet a certain artistic standard to be accepted. Look at what's already in the gallery to get an idea.

Everything else can be freely submitted to favorites. Any art added to favorites that doesn't fit in the criteria for "art subject" will be removed.

Some categories have 2 folders, one ending in "Action" and one ending in "Portraits"

Portraits: headshots, busts, standing, sitting, staring into the "camera," posing for the sake of the picture and nothing else, or fighting stances with little or no background
Action: using powers, looks like they're in the middle of doing something, looks like it could be a screencap, fighting, flying, swinging, leaping, falling, sneaking, aiming, etc. anything that if it were a photo you could call a candid.

NOTE: If you have any questions about submissions, if they're appropriate, or why they were denied, please don't use the comment section on this page. Please send a note, via the button in the top bar.

This Captain Marvel picture I made,… is the butt too centered or is that a good unity between it and all the other elements?

Welcome! We have responded to this question in a comment we made on one of your submission pages. Please see your Notifications page under the "Correspondence" section. If you do not see our comment, please feel free to send a Note to the group. Thank you for your interest in our group! ;)

Thanks for adding a piece from my gallery!  You could've probably chosen something less ... old, or... terrible, though.  :P

You're welcome!
I know artists can grow a lot over time, and it may look terrible to you now, compared to your years difference in style and technique.
I hope you can still be proud of good work, no matter how old or different it is in comparison to what you can do now. It's still something you created and helped contribute to where you are as an artist today.

If you want to showcase newer pieces, anyone can join and submit art.

Just keep in mind that the focus of this group is to promote art that does not sexualize women.

Thanks for the request on Hope!

Really dig your rules! Is it ok if I join?

Hi Tsu... I don't know the opinion of the other members, but as I've been given power to approve or deny works for the group, Hope is in! And for me there's no problem if you join, you're very welcome!

It's a little weird, because I was asked to be part of the group's staff and I thought I was cliking the button to only becoming a regular member (I still don't know who made me part of the staff!).

So sorry for the delay answering, and for my bad english too!

I invited you to be part of the staff a couple weeks ago. Whenever I see artists who consistently create art within the group standards, I invite them to become contributors, so that when they submit their art to this group, it's automatically approved!
